UP NHM CHO Recruitment 2024 Selection Procedure
Selection Procedure to be followed:
- Shortlisting of Candidates on the basis of Academic Records

Selection for nursing programs will be based on merit and the percentage of marks you achieved in your High School, Intermediate, and all years of B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing exams, along with consideration for any COVID experience.
Here’s how the marks will be weighted:
- Total Marks (Out of 100):
- High School (10th Grade): 17%
- Intermediate (12th Grade): 17%
- B.Sc. Nursing: 51%
- COVID Experience: 15%
- Example Calculation for CBSE Board CGPA:
- If you have a CGPA of 7.6, the equivalent percentage is 72.2%.
- The weightage for this would be 12.27 (72.2 * 17/100).
- Criteria for Weightage in Merit:
- Marks obtained in 10th Grade: 17% of marks obtained in 10th * 17/100
- Marks obtained in 12th Grade: 17% of marks obtained in 12th * 17/100
- Marks obtained in all Years of B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing: 51% of marks obtained in all years of the program * 51/100
If your mark sheet doesn’t have a formula to calculate the percentage, the average of the given range will be used. For instance, if the range for an A+ Grade is 80%-90%, the percentage will be calculated as the average, which is 85%.
